Quickly let’s talk about stuff I made in school. A lot of that is probably lost media or stuck on my old PC, which is broken and doesn’t turn on. But I doubt anyone seriously wants to read ‘The Princess Who Ate a Mushroom’ this early in my writing journey.
Tenacity (circa October 2023): Flash fiction. The first story I wrote for university, written for the university’s writing magazine Readable. Ultimate Weapon (circa February 2024): Novel fragment. I ain’t proud of this. I based it off a misremembered cover of an anime DVD I’d seen as a young child. Warrant (early 2024): One-act play script. Wrote this for an assignment. About two men who murder a third in a hotel room whilst disguised as police officers. I wrote this mostly to confuse people. Blue Lotus (circa July 2024): Novel fragment. More proud of this one than Ultimate Weapon. Follows Frank Porter on the funeral planet, where grief and mourning is aestheticized and dying young is extremely common. In the aftermath of his beloved’s, Blue Lotus’, death, Frank rebels against society by digging up her corpse and travelling to a castle in hopes of bringing her back. Hell Valley Avocado Farm (circa October 2024): Novel fragment. Also more proud of this one than Ultimate Weapon. Follows Frank Porter as he runs away from his mundane existence working on a desert avocado farm and discovers his entire life on the farm has been a television show for the residents of a city where just about anything is television. The Cell (late 2024): Short story in two parts. Wrote this for an assignment. About a man who lives in a padded cell, with no memory of how he got there, who he is or why he’s there. The Witch-Hammer (during university, exact time unknown): Novel fragment. Assemblage (during university, exact time unknown): Short story about the reassembly of a dismembered prostitute back into a single whole. Originally this was supposed to be one of three stories, called the dead gyaru stories. The other two were called ‘Video Dating Tape (The Prostitute’s Story)’ and ‘Plastic Baby (The Abortionist’s Story)’ but they were never finished. Plastic Baby was about a woman whose body was so polluted with microplastics she gave birth to plastic trash.
